2006
Melsom was established in year 2006 (formerly known as Melsom Biodegradable Enterprise). Initially the company was engaged with research on biodegradable and compostable technology materials.

2007
After successfully master the knowledge of this technical knowhow, the founder has decided to form Melsom Biodegradable Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. in year 2007. In July, Melsom’s Research and Development lab has fully operated. After many unsuccessful attempts and failures, Melsom’s first product was produced in November 2007 – the Melsom Biodegradable Rice Husks Chopsticks.

2008
In April 2008, in conjunction with the "World Earth Day", Melsom has launched it’s first product into the market – the Melsom Biodegradable Rice Husks Chopsticks. This product was well received by the public, which has leaded us to put in more effort on R&D to produce more products to help save the environment. In June 2008, "Organic Fibre Rice Husks Cutting Board" was successfully created. With previous success, Melsom has promptly launched this second product into the market in July 2008.

2009
With the success of 2008, Melsom has continued to develop their 3rd product, the Rice Husks Ocha Tea Cup, followed by the Natural Fibre Rice Husks Cutting Board (Handy-Cut™ Series). The full range of rice husks children tableware ( Little Husks™ Series ) is the latest additional products to Melsom’s repository of the rice husks products in the market.

Melsom (M) Sdn Bhd was formed. A team of members are actively involved in handling all sales, marketing and promotional activities. Mean while, Melsom Biodegradable Manufacturing Sdn Bhd will continue with their research and development.
